Greetings to everyone currently learning (or about to start learning) BSL.

At Signworld, we are so impressed with how people have taken to the way of learning online. Everything has a few pros and cons, but we thought to look at the pros just now.

For one things, it trains people to use better eye contact. For example, when you want to get somebody’s attention and you need to raise your hand to speak next, our learners are getting great at seeing when this is happening, and responding. Another positive is, that our learners can’t whisper answers to each other. While this is often meant well, it can hold a learner back. It’s much better for teachers to be able to identify where people are struggling – so that we can help you improve!
